DrivePath is the teen driving log app that turns months of supervised practice into a clean, DMV-ready record — built for learner drivers and their parents in all 50 states.
Why we built it
Tracking driving hours is annoying in exactly the ways that matter. Paper logs get lost in gloveboxes. Spreadsheets are complicated and live on someone's laptop. And most families genuinely don't know how close their teen is to finishing their required hours — until the week before the road test, when the reconstruction from memory begins.
That's a bad system for a document a parent has to sign and certify. So we built a better one: log the drive when it happens, in seconds, and always know exactly where you stand.
What makes DrivePath different
- Your state's rules, built in. DrivePath knows the required total hours and night hours for all 50 states and tracks your progress toward each automatically — you never have to research or remember the numbers.
- A timer that respects the road. Start a live session and it runs on the lock screen with pause and end controls. No fiddling with an app while a new driver is behind the wheel.
- An export the DMV can read. One tap turns your history into a DMV-ready PDF with totals and signature lines — or a CSV for your own records.
- Privacy first. No GPS, no location tracking, no data selling, no servers of ours holding your information. Your log stays on your device and your iCloud. Read the full privacy policy — it's short because there's little to disclose.
- The whole family, one app. Unlimited drivers means two teens on permits — or a driving school's roster — each keep their own accurate log.
Our philosophy
We believe apps should be simple and useful. DrivePath focuses on one job: tracking your driving practice until you're licensed. No social feed, no surveillance features, no upsells wedged between you and your log. The app is small (under 5 MB), fast, and does its one thing well.
That focus is deliberate. The permit phase lasts six months to a year — DrivePath should earn its place on your home screen for exactly that long, then hand you a signed PDF and wave goodbye.
Who's behind it
DrivePath is built by Charaf-Eddine Lbaiz, an independent developer who thinks the gap between "teen drives for six months" and "parent signs a legal certification" deserved real software. It launched in April 2026 and holds a 4.8-star rating on the App Store.
